In the mean time, we have invited a cardiologist, Dr Ong Hean Tek! Take the time to read the objectives below for the arranged talk:
- To promote the doctor's value amongst the members of the Pre-Medical Society.
- To provide information regarding life as a doctor
- To expose members to medical ethics
- To expose the students to medicine as a career
Date: Sunday, 18th May 2008
Time: 10 am - 12 pm
Time: 10 am - 12 pm
Venue: TUC Main Campus, LT2
Expected attendance: 100 students
Fees: FREE!
To those of you who are interested, please check your calendars and drop an email as soon as possible to premed.taylors@gmail.com with "RE: SPECIALIST TALK ATTENDANCE" as your subject. This is a first-come-first-served basis, so places might be snapped up pretty quick.
Since we will be inviting an external guest speaker, we will need the list of names latest by this Friday, 25th April 2008. You may also give us your name at this week's general meeting.
I strongly advise all members to take this opportunity as this would be useful, especially to those doctor-wannabes who are still unsure... ;)
Note: You are welcome to ask Dr. Ong questions about specialising in cardiology as he will be talking about being a doctor in general during the talk.
Until then..
