Great news, our first aid tranining will be reduced from rm160 to rm155 🎉

A short sneak peak on the events that would be carried  out throughout the training are :
• mock drill training
• how to treat wounds, burns etc.
• airway obstruction
• how to react to emergency situations.
• CPR 101

• you will get a 3 year first aider license upon completion of the training
• you might be able to save someone's life

Believe it or not, your smart phone could one day be replaced by an electronic display laminated to the back of your hand, if the inventors of a new ultra thin "e-skin" have their way.

A Japanese team had managed to design the most lifelike artificial skin ever created. An average adult contains roughly twenty square feet of skin and two million pain receptors. It can be either woven into clothes or tattooed onto the body. The electronic skin is as light as a feather and nearly indestructible. It can be used to monitor vital signs and even help to predict future heart attacks. In the future, the team hopes that e-skin will be able to detect the presence of tumors.

Taylor's Pre Medical Society General Meeting 1 and IMU Field Trip 2013
The Pre Medical Society will be having its first General Meeting for the year 2013! Join us after the mid-semester break to get to know your new committee better, to voice your opinions and share your ideas. Details are as follows:

Date: 17th April 2013 (Wednesday)
Time: 4:00-5:00 p.m.
Venue: LT2

The society is also organising a field trip to IMU to get to know the courses provided by the university, the various options and studypaths in healthcare education and the facilities provided by the university. This event will be free of charge, but has limited slots. So register online on our blogspot to confirm your participation! Certificates of participation will be given and transportation will be provided to and fro from TCSJ to IMU campus.

Time: 2:00-6:00 p.m.
Slots available: 80 (first come first served basis)

Taylor's Science Discovery Day

Hey members out there!! We'll be working together with Taylor's Lakeside Campus to bring you the latest event 'Taylor's Discovery Day' (yay! :D)
